The Role of Independent Analysis in AI-Mediated Search
Why third-party analysis carries different weight than first-party material when search results are assembled rather than listed.
Independent Research
Haus Research examines how organisations describe themselves, how independent sources describe them, and which account prevails when the two disagree. Every report is built from public evidence and states the basis for its conclusions.

Why third-party analysis carries different weight than first-party material when search results are assembled rather than listed.
An analysis of the conditions under which automated systems can identify a brand, resolve it to a single entity, and describe it accurately.
Mission
Markets are increasingly read by machines as well as by people. A search result, a model’s answer, a procurement shortlist — each is assembled from whatever record of a company happens to be available, and assembled quickly.
Most of what is written about a brand is written by the brand itself. That material has its uses, but it is not analysis, and it was never meant to be read as evidence. Where it is the only account on the record, the record is thin.
Haus Research exists to add a second account. We work from public sources, we state the basis for what we conclude, and we publish in full at hausresearch.com/reports. Disciplined third-party analysis is not a favour to the organisations we cover. It is the condition under which anyone, human or machine, can read a market honestly.
